    Operation Violet Panama

The leasehold owner of the shop trading as Sophia Nails, and her partner, were convicted in that case.

This fact that Trang Thanh Tran was connected to Sophia Nails was not mentioned in any news report.

This was a case that saw 21 Vietnamese nationals convicted.

The court heard that the "industrial scale" operation was expected to have netted the leaders of the gang somewhere in the region of £25 million.

In addition to 15 cannabis factories, the investigation led to the detection of more than 30 further factories and storage facilities across Wales and as far afield as Coventry, all linked to the gang.

Ammanford is a drug manufacturing area.

If the total amounts of drug seizures in the Ammanford area are added up and compared to estimated amounts that the local population can consume, it is apparent that Ammanford is a hub that supplies other areas.

Trang Thanh Tran's address was given as Llanelli in various news reports; if the fact that she worked in Ammanford was added to the known seizures in Ammanford, then the true size of the manufacturing hub might be more apparent.

Social media comment stating that the drug ring was run from College Street

I have never stated that the drug ring ran from College Street, but if that was actually true, it would raise several important questions.

Why was she the only one of the people convicted whose photo did not appear in the news reports, and why was she the only person to receive a suspended sentence for her part in fifteen drug factories?

Trang Thanh Tran's partner was Quang Lam.

He was the former leasehold owner of a Vietnamese nail bar named Heaven Nails in Llanelli.

He was sentenced to five years imprisonment for his part in fifteen drug factories.

Trang Thanh Tran later became the director of T's Nails Limited on 4th December 2020.
